I am installing Windows 7 on an A31 (2652M6U, 1GB RAM latest 1.13 BIOS). So far I am impressed with its speed and compatibility. However 2 devices I have not been able to install are the infrared port and Lucent Softmodem. I believe the IR port needs the IBM Thinkpad Fast Infrared driver. In Vista the port was found but not in Win 7. And the Lucent modem software seems not to make it to the end of the install even with all.exe programs set to XP Sp3 Compatibility. Does anyone who's tried Win 7 have any recommendations about getting these 2 devices working?

The Thinkpad will however connect to other networks. I have updated the firmware and driver but no luck still. A31p wireless network problem. ↳ IBM or Lenovo.
